Les Pléiades Hôtel · Spa · Restaurant
21 Grande Rue, 77630 Barbizon
The place
A plaque on the hotel's western façade recalls the painter Charles-François Daubigny, one of the great figures of nineteenth-century French landscape painting. Considerably enlarged over the years, the building became a four-star hotel with a spa and restaurant; it is currently closed for renovation. The address keeps something of the village's vocation: a place people come to stay, drawn by the forest and the light.
